Speak Up For A Change is a non-profit organization that has been serving the communities of South Eastern Hampton Roads in the United States and Togo, Benin, and Nigeria in West Africa, since 2019. With a strong commitment to making a positive impact, our organization focuses on providing vital community services to the most vulnerable members, including women, children, elderly individuals, and widows. Speak Up For A Change is deeply committed to supporting women facing domestic abuse situations. Through awareness campaigns and collaboration with local support groups and shelters, we strive to provide resources, guidance, and a safe haven for women seeking to break free from abusive environments. Our aim is to create a society where women are empowered and can live without fear of violence or harm.

Menstrual Pad Project

Our Pads Project is dedicated to supporting young girls during their transition from girlhood to womanhood. We provide menstrual hygiene products, education about menstrual health, and create safe spaces for girls to discuss their concerns openly. By breaking the barriers surrounding menstruation, we aim to empower girls to stay in school, pursue their dreams, and embrace their full potential.

Feed the Shelter

In both South Eastern Hampton Roads and Togo, we run regular feeding programs to ensure that homeless individuals receive nutritious meals. Through partnerships with local organizations and volunteers, we distribute food packs and provide warm meals to those struggling with homelessness, addressing their immediate needs for sustenance and care.

Strong Youth For Change

The Swallows Basketball Female Team is an inspiring group of Togolese youth committed to developing essential life skills both on and off the court. Speak Up For A Change is committed about empowering these young individuals to embrace discipline, teamwork, leadership, accountability, strategic thinking, effective communication, and holistic well-being.

Schools for Children

Education is a fundamental right, and we are passionate about providing access to quality education for the poorest children in Togo. In 2019, we erected our first school in Togo, which allowed children to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. We believe that every child deserves a good education, and our goal is to help as many children as possible access education in Togo, ensuring that no child is left without an education.

Back to School Aid

The Back to School Aid Program is designed to alleviate the financial burden on families in need and equip students with the necessary supplies and resources to start the academic year with confidence. By ensuring that every child has access to essential educational materials, we strive to create an equitable learning environment that fosters success and opportunities for growth.
